What is a chockstone? A Chockstone is a rock that becomes wedged in a natural rock crevasse or crack. Just as one would wedge blocks (chocks) under a trailer's tires, so too does a rock wedge itself into a crack. Often these rocks are so secure, they can support many times one's body weight.
